This speculative AR depicts a future dystopian world where most living creatures are going extinct due to environmental catastrophes especially caused by overproduction and consumption. Future generations find lost nature scenes on myriad products that are not biodegradable for over several hundred years. The work criticizes the tragic and contradictory situation of trying to preserve nature that reproduced nature after losing it.
In this fictional scenario, among tons of products that have nature images on them, Gucci's Garden Collection has been designated as a World Heritage in recognition of its outstanding quality in beautifully reproducing the history and appearance of gardens in the past. This AR represents a special exhibition to celebrate Gucci Garden Collection in the Natural History Museum and Gucci products are exhibited next to dinosaur fossils. Even though the luxurious product images look fancy at first, they end up being transformed into just trash blowing on the ground.
