Be an Eco Hero is about a speculative scenario in which people would face the crisis of extinction of human beings due to global warming in the future; global warming ravages most of our Earth and makes it almost inhabitable, primarily due to the extremely high heat.
In this fictional scenario, The United Nations decided to save only 10,000 people out of the population of the Earth through the environmental survival game, Eco Hero. Only game winners are entitled to become a citizen of Antarctica, the only paradise that holds fine weather throughout the year.
The Eco Hero game devices are automatically distributed to people worldwide by the United Nations free of charge. The device should be embedded into human bodies and can detect all kinds of human body motions and surroundings. People engaging in the survival game are expected to take positive actions for our Earth. For example, when people pick up trash on the ground, they get points. On the other hand, if people take a flight, which emits large carbon footprints, they lose points. In the end, people who lose the game will die in the physical world as well as in the game.
